Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Bayet Frères

Here is an interesting uncommon .320 caliber revolver, with centre percussion, whose mechanism is easily accessible without tools, marked Bayet Frères breveté (Patented). Foldable trigger, no rigger guard.

I saw only one stamp, ELG on star in oval, that is the acceptance between 1846 and 1893.

Between 1862 and 1876, the Bayets filed several patents.

At first, I thought that the weapon presented here belonged to patent 032413 of April 17, 1873, but when comparing the weapon to the patent in question, there are differences (point of tilt of the handle, etc.). Admittedly, the principle is broadly the same. Nor do I claim to have all the patents of Bayet Brothers, V and Jules, registered at the proofhouse of Liège between 1860 and 1881.
